The Halloween Spirit is Here with Spirit Halloween

On September 26th for the first time in years, Spirit Halloween opened in Flagstaff, AZ. The classic Halloween store of many people’s childhoods has resurrected from the grave once again to grace Flagstaff with its spooky presence. Every year Spirit Halloween takes its home inside the remnants of a once bustling store, now closed and empty with time. This year Spirit Halloween is located in the corpse of a bowling alley in the mall. 

A lot of people in Flagstaff are very excited for there to finally be a Spirit Halloween after all these years. People of all shapes and sizes were flocking to the store as soon as it opened. A woman named Dawn said, “I thought it was packed, it felt like being in Disneyland.” She was at Spirit Halloween the day that it opened, and she witnessed all the people that were swarming the newly opened store. The people of Flagstaff were ecstatic to finally have one of these nostalgic stores back in town after such a long hiatus. Because of this unexplained disappearance, people have had to go to other cities in Arizona just to go to a Spirit Halloween, such as Prescott and Phoenix. For many years people begged the company to come back to Flagstaff, and finally like a zombie in a horror movie, the store rose up from the dead and returned. 

The store was full of all kinds of Halloween merchandise, as well as many different types of costumes, masks and many different types of animatronics to scare little kids and trick or treaters on the infamous night of Halloween. The store is always a staple of the season of spooks and pumpkins. Though the prices have increased over the years, the store is still relatively the same as it was when many people were growing up with it. Spirit Halloween is a store full of nostalgia and laughs from people’s childhood and the people of Flagstaff hope that will continue to return year after year.
