About FHS

Flagstaff High School is a traditional high school with multiple Dual Enrollment, Career and Technical (CTE) and Advanced Placement opportunities available for our diverse student body. FHS sits on the edge of the Navajo Nation and hosts students who live in the Bureau of Indian Education (BIE) funded Kinlani Bordertown Dormitory to take advantage of an excelling educational environment that values the cultural differences of its students. Additionally, FHS boasts a 93% overall graduation rate in nearly every ethnic and socio-economic demographic that prepares each student to harness success in their post-secondary choice. Whether selecting a career or academic post secondary choice, FHS offers the course work and support to help each student succeed to their highest potential.
Our Mission
Flagstaff High School’s mission is to empower and prepare students to embrace challenges with resilience, creativity, critical thinking, and strong character. We will develop and educate responsible members of society while encouraging personal and post-secondary success.
Our Vision
- We will be a safe, calm, and predictable school environment for every staff member and each student through the use of culturally responsive PBIS and Restorative Practices.
- We will embody a culture of collaboration and cohesion among staff and students through the implementation of culturally responsive Professional Learning Communities. We will become an interdependent staff.
- We will implement and use culturally responsive, high leverage teaching strategies, such as Universal Design for Learning to be sure that we meet each student where they are at.
