Seniors Need Color

Every class registration, you’ll make choices that may surprise yourself. You may even try out for things your final year of high school. “I wonder what I could do instead of PE and make friends better in Highschool. It could be possible that those flag spinning people at football games get some form of work out and bond really well, but I’m a Senior and they might not be able to teach me how to do that.” WRONG! Mrs. Mac and all the students in Color Guard are entirely welcoming to rookie seniors. As long as you put in the work, IT CAN WORK! In Color Guard, you can have a great senior year by just spinning a flag with style and little skill! Lots of people join it showing just how great it is.
People in Color Guard such as the seniors: Anna, Karlea, and Senaida absolutely love it with the community and because you don’t have to spend hours and hours training your body to be good enough. Anna replied, “my friend wanted to join. I did it to get out of PE. I definitely enjoy it and love being around others. It gives people a purpose in Highschool besides tons of classwork.” Karlea answered, “I knew people in color guard and was definitely convinced. I would absolutely choose color guard again if I knew that I could join a community to make amazing friends.” Senaida responded, “the main reason I joined is because of the assembly in my freshman year. I was convinced by a friend who was obsessed with the perk of taking off your PE credit and just having to finish your health credit later. It gets hard in Color Guard if you miss a few days, but as long as you work hard and try to connect, it is very fun.” These people can all vouch for the sport and explain more if you’re new and scared about even trying it alone!
If you are worried about joining Color Guard and want to make some friends or try something new, don’t be. It is an amazing opportunity to have something besides a language class in your final year of school to be able to tell people about. It is good to learn about something for your future family and friends when they are just as confused as you were looking at class registration forms.
