School technology can be very impactful and useful, also have cons, like distractions, lack of socializing, ect. but is still a very valuable tool. Technology in school can provide many different opportunities and benefits—for example; bringing engagement to students or by helping them be more interested in work. Educators use many types of technology like projectors, computers, tablets, smart boards, etc.
One of the most popular uses of technology in schools is canvas. Canvas is a very valuable resource, it contains your school assignments, due dates, and also just a way for students to understand what can go on in the classroom. Canvas is also used beyond just a school resource, it can be used for corporate training from companies, professional development from industries, business education, etc. Some schools even use an app called “StudentVUE.” This is an app that can help students check grades, get mails on absences, contact teachers, and almost everything useful for a student to utilize. The most popular of all, Google, is used for almost everything in school—if not all the time.
Technology can also provide students with more opportunities to engage in creative activities, for instance; engineering students use a lot of technology to create such amazing projects, or even photography to make phenomenal photos using the given technology. Photography students use an app called Lightroom, which is used to edit images with coloring, and even remove/fix mistakes.
Flagstaff High School provides everything a student needs in school, technology wise. These tools and devices help students and teachers maintain a meticulous way of learning and communicating. Technology may have a lot of grey areas, but it still can have its advantages.
